Roger Federer is a Swiss professional tennis player. He was ranked world No. 1 by the Association of Tennis Professionals for 310 weeks, including a record 237 consecutive weeks, and has finished as the year-end No. 1 five times. 

He retire from tennis after next week's Laver Cup, aged 41. The 20-time Grand Slam champion has been struggling with a knee problem

"I was lucky enough to play so many epic matches that I will never forget," said Federer.

"As many of you know, the past three years have presented me with challenges in the form of injuries and surgeries," Federer said in an 845-word statement posted on social media. 

The tournament gifted Federer the cow after the Swiss won his maiden Grand Slam championship at 2003 Wimbledon. He also received a cow in Gstaad in 2013 following a nine-year absence from the tournament
